When National Team calls
One of our coaches was rewarded when one of his recent ex players was called by the BU15 National team. Before coming to Southern California two years ago, coach Herve Roussel was coaching a BU13 team in Alexandria VA near Washington DC. Last week one of his player Emailed him with the great news:
"Hi coach Herve, I was really really happy when Mr. Paez, president of the NCSL (National Capital Soccer League) told me about my selection to the US National camp top 25, in FL. If it wasn’t for you recruiting me from the playground park to the A team I wouldn’t have been here. I learned so much from you, you told me to take on my opponent if I can 1v1, I think I scored more goals when you were coaching us than any other coach. The happiest and saddest time was our very last game of the season when you had to leave and go to California. I remember I scored 2 goals in that game...",
Coach Herve: "If I can a make a difference in one player's life, rather it is on or off the field, I know, I did my job".
